The Code Alarm CA-4050 VSS (Vehicle Specific System) Unit is available in virtually hundreds of different Vehicle Specific System platforms. The VSS platform provides a much faster & easier understood installation compared to the "universal" type systems offered today. A VSS platform eliminates the need to wire the system for the specific vehicle its going to be installed into and provides a VSS guide that indicates which wire from the system goes to what wire in the vehicle, where that wire is in the vehicle, and how to verify (test) it using the supplied test probe.

Automatically turns On the Vehicles Heat or AC Controls.
Safety 2 Press Start: You have to Press the Remotes Button 2X within 3 Seconds to Activate the Remote Starter. Helps Prevent Accidental Remote Starting that just 1 press of the button could do. The system can also be shut down using the same procedure (Installer adjustable to 1 press starting).
Quick-Stop Mode: This feature allows the vehicle to remain running after the key has been removed from the ignition. This feature is useful for occasions when you wish to exit the vehicle for short periods of time but would like to leave the motor running with the heat or air-conditioner ON.
