Installing a Remote Start into a 2019 to 2023 Ford Ranger in 5 Easy Steps:

Step 1: Unplug your vehicle's gateway connector from the rear of the vehicle's OBD2 diagnostic plug and plug it into the female plug on the T-harness. Replace the vehicle's gateway plug with the plug from the T-harness:

Step 2: Now, plug the blue plug from the T-harness into the blue plug on the remote starter module. In response, the LED on the remote starter module will light up Solid RED:

Step 3: Now turn the ignition ON (do not start the vehicle): When the LED turns to Solid Green and turns OFF, turn the ignition OFF:

Step 4: Test remote start activation: Exit the vehicle, lock the doors with your factory remote, wait at least 30 seconds, then press your remote's lock button 3 times. After your vehicle remote starts, let it test run for at least a minute:

Step 5: Then press the unlock button on your remote, enter the vehicle, and step on the brake pedal; in response, the engine will shut down. Next, secure the remote start module and T-harness up under the dash using the supplied zip ties, and you're done!
 

Remote Start Safety & Security Features:

• Brake Pedal Monitoring for Security: The remote starter will immediately shut down if the brake pedal is stepped on before the ignition is turned on.
   
• Open Hood Monitoring for Safety: The remote start will not activate with the hood open and will immediately shut down if the hood is opened while the vehicle is running by the remote starter.
